Think Purple

This blog grew out of a single idea: to sharpen cybersecurity awareness across Europe.

Even though it's just a blog — one that processes no sensitive information — this project, and whatever follow-up projects grow out of it, is meant to find out what can actually be built today with European solutions.

Where do you have to draw a hard line? At what point does a private individual, a small or mid-sized business, a corporation, or a public institution have to say: "I can live with the trade-offs up to here. Beyond that, privacy concerns or not, I have to fall back on the usual solutions I wanted to get away from."

This blog is for anyone capable of reading. Everyone does security — whether they want to or not. "Why do I need this annoying MFA?" "What even is it?" "How do I connect my WAF to Sentinel without all the background noise?" You can filter which topics are aimed at individuals and which at organizations.

This site is designed cookieless. Our analytics and fonts are self-hosted, and even the YouTube embeds only fire "on click." How all of that works? Best you go dig into it yourself.

If you'd like to publish your own security article on thehoneypotfiles.io: co-authors are always welcome, and you'll surely find a way to get in touch.

Have fun. Think purple!
